Canton dropped a tough 3-1 loss to Troy in NTL volleyball action.
Troy won the first set 25-10, Canton rallied for a 25-18 win in the second set, then the Trojans held on for wins of 25-23 and 25-19 in the third and fourth sets.
Tara Gilbert had 10 points, three aces, two kills, eight digs, and an assist as Vayda Bryan had 10 points, two aces, one kill, 10 assists, and 14 digs.
Addi Pepper had 11 points, one ace, two kills, six assists, and nine digs, with Chelsea Lehman getting five points, two aces, five kills, and two blocks.
Kendall Kitchen had 12 points, three aces, one assist, and 20 digs, while Makenna Seachrist had six points, an ace, and five kills.
Cailyn VanNoy chipped in with 10 points, four kills, two aces, and nine digs as Kaylyn Pidcoe notched a dig.
Troy won the JV match 25-18 and 25-11.
Nevaeh Vroman had an ace, four digs, a kill, and three assists, with Alyssa May getting five aces, eight digs, and a kill.
Danah Wesneski finished with an ace, four digs, and a kill, as Riley Gowin had two kills. Lydia Roupp and Gabby Thursby had one kill each, while Ashley Valera notched three digs.
Alley Marbaker chipped in with an ace, and a dig.
