JERSEY SHORE — Selinsgrove played well for three quarters, but it was a poor second quarter that turned the final Heartland Athletic Conference-Division I contest into a rout.
Peyton Dincher had nine of her 11 points, and Sophia Stover knocked down two 3s as Jersey Shore outscored Selinsgrove, 23-4, in the second quarter on its way to a 45-22 victory in the final division game for both teams this season.
The Seals have one game remaining, a crossover game with Mifflinburg. If the current District 4-6 power rankings hold up, Selinsgrove would then travel to Central Mountain for a semifinal game.
Dincher had 11 points, Cailyn Schall chipped in 10 points for Jersey Shore (17-4 overall, 8-2 HAC-I).
Selinsgrove was outscored by just four points in the first, third and fourth quarters.
Alyssa Latsha scored seven points, while Shaela Kruskie and Kristen Shaffer each chipped in five points for Selinsgrove (5-16, 1-9).
