Canton couldn't get into a rhythm offensively as they fell 40-14 to Towanda in NTL football action.
The game was 20-14 at the half but Towanda held Canton to just 40 total yards in the second half as they pulled away with three touchdowns.
Ben Fitch was held to negative-21 yards rushing on 19 carries but was 14-for-25 through the air for 131-yards, one touchdown, and two picks.
Aydin Holcomb had rushing and receiving touchdowns, hauling seven catches for 63-yards. Rylan Wesneski had four catches for 44-yards, while Bailey Gardner ran the ball eight times for 25-yards.
After falling down 7-0 Canton responded with a 4-yard Holcomb run on second-and-goal early in the second quarter. Alexis McRoberts added the point after to knot things up.
Towanda would get two more touchdowns to take a 20-7 led when Canton used a Black Knight turnover late in the half to score.
This time they went to the air as Fitch hit Holcomb in the back of the end zone for a 2-yard scoring strike, with McRoberts' kick good for a 6-point halftime difference.
