The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team dropped a 3-2 non-league match at Coudersport on Saturday, September 28.
Last week the Lady Hornets defeated Coudy 3-1.
Coudersport won the first set 25-15 but Wellsboro battled back to take the next two sets, 25-21 and 25-19, to take a 2-1 lead heading into the 4th set.
Coudersport won the 4th set 25-21 to force a 5th set, which they won, 15-12.
Junior Taylor Main led Wellsboro with 13 points (7 aces), 14 digs and 12 assists. Sophomore Ellie Largey also scored 13 points (3 aces) and made 10 assists, sophomore Madison Cruttenden recorded 23 digs, senior Lexi Urena had 22 digs, 7 kills and a block, and senior Paige Logsdon scored 7 points, had 4 kills and a block.
Sophomore Blake Eckart also added 5 kills.
Wellsboro won the JV game 2-0 (25-22 and 25-15).
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 9-3 overall. The team is back in action Monday evening against rival North Penn-Liberty.
