Lady Warriors Rally Efforts Come Up Just Short In 12-11 Loss To Wellsboro

Canton softball's late rally came up short in their 12-11 loss to Wellsboro.
They were down 9-3 after three but cut it to 9-9 halfway through the sixth. The Hornets went up 12-9 after the sixth. Canton would get two runs back couldn't get the tying run across.
Jaylee Ward had herself a day, going 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, 3-RBI, and four runs scored, while Audrey Bastion (2-for-4) scored twice and drove in a run.
Nevaeh Vroman (1-for-4) had 2-RBI as Addi Pepper (1-for-3) scored and drove in a run.
Tara Gilbert scored twice with Cyra Hugo scoring and driving in a run. Rylin Graham also scored.
Gilbert went the distance in the loss, striking out four with four walks, six hits, and 12 runs, seven earned.
