Liberty Rallies For Three 2nd Half Goals To Down Trojans

By: Chris Manning | PIAA District IV | October 3, 2024

Troy led briefly but ultimately fell 3-1 to North Penn-Liberty during NTL boys' soccer action.

All four goals were scored in the second half.

Troy took a 1-0 lead a little over 10 minutes into the second half when Keegan Kerr finished off a rebound from a cross by Hart Houseknecht.

The Mounties, though, would scored back to back goals a couple minutes later to go up 2-1, then finished things off with a goal in the dying moments of the game for the win.

NPL out shot Troy 15-10 and had a 12-2 edge in corner kicks. Timothy Hornung made 17 saves in net for the Trojans.
