Junior Paige Logsdon belted two home runs but the Wellsboro Varsity Softball team fell 13-2 to Williamson in 5 innings on Monday, May 13.
Logsdon hit a shot to right field with one out in the top of the 1st inning to give Wellsboro an early lead, however the Lady Warriors took over with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning. After a scoreless 2nd inning, Logdson ripped another solo shot to center field to cut the lead to 3-2.
Williamson went on the offensive later in the bottom of the 3rd and 4th, scoring 4 in the 3rd and 6 in the 4th, to end the game.
Logsdon finished 2-for-3 at the plate with the two solo home runs to lead the Lady Hornets while senior Abby Owlett (1-for-3) and junior Madelynn Losinger (1-for-2).
Logsdon pitched a complete game on the mound, allowing 13 runs (7 earned) on 7 hits with 9 walks and 8 strikeouts.
Wellsboro falls to 4-13 (1-12 NTL Large School Division). The team hosts Northeast Bradford later this afternoon.
