Troy Girls Edge Athens To Claim NTL Title

EAST TROY - Troy edged Athens, 2-1, to claim their fifth straight NTL title in girls' soccer action.

Athens led 1-0 but a goal by Giana Renzi and another off a Kylee Roy corner kick gave Troy a 2-1 lead at the half.

Madelyn Seeley kept it a 2-1 contest with a save on a penalty kick late in the second half.

Troy out shot Athens 27-5 and had a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
