Troy used a 16-5 run in the 2nd quarter to break open a two point game and go to a 53-26 NTL Large School Division win over Wellsboro on Monday, January 22.
Troy led 7-5 after the opening quarter, but thanks to their 2nd quarter run they extended their lead to 23-10 at halftime.
Troy stayed hot following the intermission, outscoring the Lady Hornets 17-4 to further increase their lead to 40-14.
"Our girls played really hard," said head coach Darrell Morris. "I am proud of our effort against the top NTL team. We hung right with them for most of the first half, but missed close shots and turnovers caught up with us. But our girls battled the whole 32 minutes."

Logsdon grabbed a team-high 9 rebounds while senior Emily Morris added 7. Brandenburg made 2 steals, Mascho and Logsdon each blocked a shot, and Richardson pulled down 3 rebounds.
