Wellsboro Girls Fall To Jersey Shore In Double OT

Wellsboro dropped a 1-0 double overtime non-league loss to Jersey Shore on Monday, October 14.
With 39 seconds left in the 2nd overtime period, Jersey Shore's Jessalyn Millbrand converted a penalty kick to score the game-winner.
Jersey Shore out shot Wellsboro 10-7 and had a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore Jadyn Dunlap made 7 saves in goal and senior Annie Gehman added 2 saves.
Jersey Shore also won the JV game 1-0.
The loss drops Wellsboro to 5-9-2 overall. The team is back in action this evening for their final league game of the season against Williamson.
