TOWANDA - Towanda had five of the top five finishers to go 3-0 in the girls race, but sophomore Alissa Vough's third-place finish led Athens to a pair of wins here Tuesday in NTL cross country action. The Athens boy were 0-3 on the day.
Vough finished third behind Towanda's 1-2 punch of Maris Cobb (20:58) and Izzy Larson (21:25). She clocked in with a time of 22:28.
Junior Matt Rossettie (20:00) finished 10th, and junior Jacob Shores (20:26) was 13th to lead Athens, but Canton (two), Towanda (five), and Troy (three) each had at least two runners finish in the top 10.
