The Wellsboro Boys Tennis team was edged 3-2 by Hughesville in non-league competition in their season opener at Hughesville on Wednesday, March 12.
"We knew it would be a close match and it came right down to the wire," said head coach Andy Borzok. "It's a tough match to lose, but we had some really good things happen on all of the courts. Mason played a solid match and Braeden and RJ got a win in their first career tennis match. We've got some things to work on as a team, but I'm very optimistic about the direction that we're moving."
