The Wellsboro Girls Basketball team rallied past Coudersport 33-26 Tuesday night to win their second straight game.
The Lady Hornets found themselves in a 13-4 hole after the opening quarter but rallied with a 12-point 2nd quarter to cut the lead down to 18-16 at the half. Wellsboro edged the Lady Falcons 5-4 in the 3rd to get the lead down to a point, 22-21, heading into the final frame, where they outscored Coudy 12-4 to go onto the win.
Sophomore Adelyn Frantz led all scorers with 17 points while freshman Kya Lawton recorded her 2nd double-double of the season with 10 points and 16 rebounds.
Sophomore Kate Bryant added the final six points for Wellsboro.
Delaney Wahlers scored 12 points to lead Coudersport.
Coudersport won a hard-fought JV game 18-14. Sophomore Jennifer Belz led the team with 6 points, freshman Lena Rothermel added 4, and sophomores Lacie Brutsman and Aileen Bowers scored two points apiece.
The Lady Hornets improve to 3-4 with the win. The team is back in action at Northeast Bradford on Monday.
