Troy Football Head Coach Jim Smith, and Montgomery Girls Wrestling Coach Jodi Furman were named Coaches of the Year for the 2024-25 season by PIAA on Monday.
Smith helped guide the Trojans to a perfect 16-0 season, including a thrilling 25-24 win over Central Clarion in last year’s Class 2A championship game at Chapman Field.
Furman helped the Lady Red Raiders Wrestling program to an 8-5 record, a 3rd place finish at the District IV championships, and first place finishes at the PIAA Central Region and PIAA Girls Wrestling championships. She had four state qualifiers, three place winners (2 third and a second) in just the Lady Red Raiders' second year of the program.
