Warriors Place 7th In League-Opening Golf Match At Towanda

WYSOX - Canton golfers took seventh in the first NTL match of the season Monday.
The Warriors shot 396 as Towanda (323) won on their home course. Wellsboro (355) was second, followed by Athens (358), NPM (367), CV (387), and Wyalusing (396), with Sayre (595) coming in eighth.
Carson Rockwell shot a 99 to lead Canton, getting five pars on the day.
Reed Taylor added a 103 with one par as Levi Vermilya shot a 106 with four pars.
Tommy Preston notched a 110, Link Vermilya had a 122 with one par, and Gavin Sharp finished with a 130.
For Troy Sam Stafford shot a 120 with one par.
On the girls' side Summer Route shot a 155.
Canton returns to action on Thursday at River Valley.
