Athens Boys Notch Wins Over Wellsboro, Canton; Lady Wildcats Earn Split

WELLSBORO - The Athens boys had six double-winners, and picked up wins over Wellsboro and Canton in the final dual meet of the season, while the Lady Wildcats earned a win over Canton, but fell to Wellsboro here Tuesday in NTL Track & Field action.

The Athens boys wrap up the season with an 11-3 record, while the Lady Wildcats finish at 10-3-1.

Senior Brenden Comstock, senior Alex Thompson, juniors Ryan Cook, Graham Wanck, Brayden Westbrook, and freshman Avery Gorsline were double-winners to help the Wildcats to a pair of wins.

Senior Lizzie Gorsline and sophomore Marlene Roelle were triple-winners to lead the Wildcats to a win over Canton, but the Hornets displayed superior depth to top the Wildcats.
