ATHENS - Athens turned in a stellar performance on both ends of the floor in a 47-14 rout of Wellsboro here Friday night in NTL Large School Division girls basketball action.
Junior McKenna Jarvis scored six points in the first quarter, and sophomore Alissa Vough added five points, including an old-fashioned three-point play, to help the Wildcats to a 15-7 lead after the opening eight minutes.
Jarvis poured in 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the second quarter, and sophomore Allie Kemp added five points, including a 3-pointer, to fuel a 19-2 blitz that put Athens ahead 34-9 at the halftime break.
