Senior Kristina Belz set a new personal best in the 50 Free as the Wellsboro Swim team took part in a double-dual against PHAC members Danville and Bloomsburg Wednesday.
Danville swept both the boys and the girls meets. The Lady Ironmen defeated Bloomsburg 90-84 and Wellsboro, 126-27. Bloomsburg also defeated the Lady Hornets, 94-29.
In the boys meet Danville beat the Hornets 126-33 and Bloom, 97-84. Bloomsburg also beat Wellsboro, 107-31.
Belz recorded a 29.84 in the 50 Free, finishing 5th overall and also qualifying for districts in that event. She was also 5th in the 100 Back (1:28.84).
Senior Makenna Robbins brought home a 2nd place finish, and a new PR, in the 50 Free (27.61) and was 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:17.25). Her 100 Breaststroke time was also a new PR and district qualifying time.
Sophomore Piper Anderegg hit district qualifying times with a 3rd place finish in the 200 Free (2:15.32) and a 4th place finish in the 100 Free (1:00.43).
Freshman Joelle Bull was 5th in the 200 Free (2:31.05) (new PR) and 7th in the 100 Free (1:10.38).
The Lady Hornets also took 3rd in the 200 Free Relay, posting a time of 1:56.56.
For the boys, freshman Austin DeShazo set a pair of new personal bests, finishing 2nd in the 100 Fly (1:07.34) and 5th in the 100 Back (1:11.44). Both were district qualifying times.
Junior Max Mascho had a pair of 4th place finishes in the 100 Free (56.52) and the 100 Back (1:08.11). His 100 Back time is a new PR and both times hit district qualifying standards.
Sophomore Wyatt Sporer was 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke (1:17.08) and 6th in the 50 Free (26.03), both were personal bests and district qualifying times.
Freshman Elijah Kennedy was 9th in the 100 Free (1:29.99) and 10th in the 50 Free (35.27) (new PR).
Freshman Conlen Whitsell was 8th in the 100 Free (1:14.37) (new PR) and sophomore Eli Shrawder finished 9th in the 50 Free (30.43).
The team is back in the pool Friday at Milton.
