Lady Hornets Beat Shamokin, Fall To Milton

The Wellsboro Lady Hornet Swim Team split a meet between Heartland Athletic Conference members Milton and Shamokin on Friday.
Wellsboro beat Shamokin 54-24 but fell to Milton, 106-47.
Senior Makenna Robbins scored two 1st place finishes on the day in the 200 Free (2:18.83) and the 100 Back (1:13.69).
Sophomore Piper Anderegg won the 500 Free (6:04.88) and was 2nd in the 50 Free (27.46).
Freshman Joelle Bull was 2nd in the 200 IM (3:05.25) and 2nd in the 100 Free (1:09.77).
Senior Kristina Belz won the 100 Breaststroke in 1:23.51 and finished 2nd in the 200 Free (2:38.50).
The group also won the 200 Free Relay in 1:59.91.
The team is back in action at Athens on the 23rd.
