At his daily update on the COVID-19, coronavirus pandemic, yesterday, Wednesday, April 8, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf supported PIAA\'s shutdown of the winter sports championships.

In accordance with Governor Tom Wolf\'s announcement earlier today that Pennsylvania schools will be closed to in‐person learning for the remainder of the school year, the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc. (PIAA) has cancelled all remaining Winter and Spring sports and championships.

On Monday, March 30, 2020, the PIAA Board of Directors, due to the closure of schools and the \"stay at home\" directives imparted by Governor Wolf in 26 counties, met via teleconference to discuss various items that would have been part of its regularly scheduled Board of Directors Meeting of March 18, 2020.

On Monday, March 23, 2020, Governor Wolf issued a \"stay at home\" directive to citizens in seven counties for the next two weeks.

All schools are to be closed starting Monday, March 16, 2020 for 10 business days.

4 wrestlers from PIAA District IV were crowned PIAA champions on Saturday, March 7 at the Giant Center in Hershey.

This Saturday two live streams will be available for the PA AA Northeast Regional tournament.
